Kouki Saitou's Artwork Style.... Changed?

Almost every Pokemon fan knows that there are Pokemon Trading Cards. Each card is done by a different illustrator; Some include Ken Sugimori, Masakazu Fukuda, and, of course, Kouki Saitou.

To me, Kouki Saitou's artwork has been remarkably cool. For a long time, he has had a nice, colored-outline style. What was cool was that the colors of the outlines were always darker colors of the color of the Pokemon.

I continued loving his works until the "HG & SS Unleashed" TG set. In that new set, for some reason, Saitou's style.... CHANGED! You can see the difference in the pictures below.

See the difference? The one to the left has thiner lines and the lines are colored, while the illustration to the right has dense lines that are just black, no other color.

Sometimes changing things is good, but I still liked the older cards better. The new ones are good, but sometimes.... the new illustrations just aren't as good...
